Girls’ Gender-Intentional Programming

BBBSEM’s gender-intentional programming creates safe, nurturing, and inspiring spaces where girls can build self-esteem, cultivate resilience, and develop the skills necessary for success in their academic, personal, and professional lives.

Through partner schools and sites,
BBBSEM continued to deepens their girls-only programming.

  • PIC-funded internship opportunities for high-school aged students
  • Focused on early career experience, work readiness, and leadership training – all designed to be girls-intentional
  • Offered to current and alumni female-identifying mentees

New Girls Network

The New Girls Network has a mission to help young women (mentees) learn the skills to network, talk about their strengths, make connections, and support each other.

The aim is to have mid and late career women (mentors) share some of the many pathways they have traveled in their own careers, and to offer information on topics common to women in the workplace.

  • Professional mentoring community for young women who are joining or in the workforce

  • Aimed at building social capital, career confidence and redressing stubborn barriers to access for future women leaders
